Client: Sanofi Genzyme

Industry: Biotech

The Challenge:
This specialty biotech company was rebuilding itself and its public reputation after experiencing a manufacturing shutdown due to a viral contamination of one of its best-selling products. As part of this effort, the organization restructured and introduced new global leaders.

Transformation Strategies was asked to help assimilate the new leadership, socialize their philosophies across the enterprise and establish common business processes across all plants.

The Solution:
Transformation Strategies supported Genzyme’s major reorganization by performing a current-state assessment, establishing communication and training plans, coaching the new leadership team on techniques and processes, rewriting job descriptions and facilitating strategic planning sessions. In addition, an assessment and feedback meeting was facilitated where independent plant operators quickly came into agreement on common practices and action plans, which were theretofore unaligned. The new leadership was pleasantly surprised at speed of the mindset shift .The end result was an aligned organization  that improved transactional and strategic decision making across all plants.
